Questions from the Heart

A heart-shaped flower (Asian bleeding-heart /Lamprocapnos spectablis) stands out in the forefront.

Just a few months ago, our youngest daughter and her husband welcomed their first child into the world. Her name is Hazel Honey, and the way she studies the world around her is just a marvel. I fully expect her to grow up to be as feisty and gregarious as her great grandmother and namesake. Hazel is certainly our sweet little nut, and she’s off to a great start.

Francesca and I are thrilled to the moon. We are now surrounded by five grandchildren, four kids and many dear friends. I’ve spent a lifetime encouraging them all to be happy and healthy. Many people call it my passion, and I have to agree. I just can’t imagine a better feeling than knowing you are prepared for any interesting opportunity that life sends your way because you are healthy.

Now that I’m in my 80s, I see too many dear friends struggling with infirmities. It’s tough to hear when they tell me, “Sam, I wish I took your advice years ago.” Oh how I wish they did as well.

But I get it. You may not reap the dividends of investing in your health now until months or even years to come. And in this world of quick gratification, it can be difficult to wait that long.

I don’t know all the answers, but what I do know is that it is important for everyone to take charge of their lives—both from a health standpoint and a financial standpoint. While it won’t guarantee success, it can move you in the right direction. Along the way, you will be better able to enjoy the people you love and have ample energy to pursue your passions. That’s a life worth living.

My question for you

I have been writing these blogs for several years now. My goal has always been to share information that matters to you, information that gives you the right tools to be your best, now and for years to come. If you’ve been reading along, I would love to hear from you.

My question for you is: Are there topics you would like to learn more about?

I’m also curious to know what has sparked you to make a positive change in your life, as well as what drives you to make that change a firmly established habit. Drop me a line at drsam@drsamsblog.com or simply comment below.

Of course, the best time to start embracing healthy living is when you are fresh and new to this world, like our little Hazel Honey. The next best time to start is now.

Here’s to all the best that life has to offer!

Cheers,

Dr. Sam Signature

  1. Dr Sam: in answer to your question, and similar to others who have replied here, love to learn more about how optimal nutrition factors into what appears to be an increase in the digestive diagnoses of IBS, gluten and other “food sensitivities”, etc. Thank you for ALL you continually do! Been benefiting from Nutrilite for decades, and will not be without it each day I am alive on this beautiful planet.

  2. Thanks Dr. Sam:-)

God Bless you and your growing Family! We LOVE the mountains of Colorado and have many years of hiking there (Thanks for the photo)…
We are passionate and dedicated to long-term health and have been seeing that gut health is crucial to brain, immune and overall health. Would you discuss food and supplements that help improve/maintain gut health?
    Thank you :-)!

  3. Yes, I am laughing, because it was YOU, Sam, who inspired my lifelong healthy habit of taking necessary vitamins and supplements every, single day of my life! Every morning, when we were kids, you would give Lisa and me a handful of vitamins to take! The habit has stayed with me for life (I am now 63yrs on this planet!) and I know those very supplements were instrumental in getting me through cancer/chemo/radiation and being cancer free since 2006, dealing with Lupus, as well as having had a healthy recovery from bilateral TKR (I had both knees done at once because my bones are strong, thank you Nutilitie!) and a spinal fusion from L4 to S-2! I am now a two million miler in flight, having traveled all over the world, continuously, and still going strong! I even take that long flight to Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide AU several times each year and supplements, especially MSM, Biotin, Total B complex, Vitamin D and Tumeric keep me going strong! The tumeric is essential in preventing flare-ups with lupus! I know that without vitamins/supplements, I would NOT enjoy the great health (yes, GREAT, despite cancer and auto-immune disease) that I am blessed to have! You started me in the great habit of vitamins and supplements at the early age of 8yrs! I remain healthy and heal quickly because I have maintained that habit, passing it down to my five living children and my 4 grandchildren! I cannot imagine a life without vitamins and supplements! If I happen to forget a week (see last February in Tamarindo, Costa Rica!) my body will punish me for my forgetfulness! Holy Ouch!!
Living Well and Healthy Through Vitamins, Supplements and Healthy Choices and Forever Grateful To You, Sam, For Putting Me There Early In Life!! If there is a supplement you think I am missing, please do let me know! I will add it into my daily regime.
Hugs, Love and Blessings! Congratulations on Your New Granddaughter!!
    I Love You All,
Linda (Yes, I’m THAT Linda, Lol! Lisa and I have had a blast catching up! I would love to see YOU, too, one of these days, and meet Francesca!)
Till then, staying healthy through vitamins and supplements! Yes, indeed!

  4. Hi Dr. Sam,

I am really thankful you asked about the best thing that sparked my good health. It is Nutrilite. It has given me such a big amount of confidence that I can’t get anywhere else. It gives us the best combination of nature and Science (Best Nature, Best Science), which helps to love happy-healthy life.

  5. When I visited COH this April, I recognized DrSam blog and registered. I try to share it with my group.
At the same time I translate ( English to Japanese)Nutrilite Story written by Dr Sam and Carl’s writing and collection. It’s difficult but worth challenging! And this blog really helps me to have confidence and feel value worth sharing. I’ve been taking Nutrilite for more than 25 years now. There are huge stories I never heard of in these books. I will visit COH with group again next month, November. I am really looking forward to sharing real Nutrilite with my friends.
    Thank you, DrSam!
